On 10 April 2025, DELFINGEN Wuhan organised the opening ceremony for its new textile workshop and its 15th-anniversary celebrations, under the theme ‘The New Silk Road: Driving the Future’. Representatives from the Wuhan Dongxihu District Government, the French Consulate in Wuhan and Delfingen China’s key strategic clients, as well as Gérald Streit, CEO of Delfingen, and Damien Personeni, Director of the Asia Region, attended the event. The deputy mayor, the consul from the French Consulate and representatives from the clients all took the floor to express their confidence in Delfingen’s future development in China.
Gérald Streit and Damien Personeni also took the floor, expressing their surprise at the speed of growth in the Chinese automotive market and their keen interest in it. Xu Xia, Managing Director of DELFINGEN China, traced the company’s 15-year history in China through a live sand painting demonstration, and also reaffirmed DELFINGEN’s determination to continue its development in China. After touring the factory, the customers praised the site’s localisation strategy and production capabilities.
During the ceremony, the representatives cut the ribbon together, symbolising the launch of a new avenue of cooperation via the ‘Silk Road’. The launch of this new workshop marks the site’s commitment to ‘In China, for China’ and its entry into the era of new energy vehicles. It also demonstrates their ability to meet growing customer needs and their determination to continue to expand their presence in the Chinese market.
